Scott has been working with families and their beloved addicts since 2012. He brings a large and calming presence to the most stressful and challenging situations. He has extensive experience in working with complex, high-acuity cases and co-occurring disorders.
Scott earned his master’s in social work from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He is a licensed clinical social worker, a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor, and a certified Structured Family Recovery® counselor.
Scott has worked in crisis intervention and crisis stabilization in many of his previous professional positions, including emergency psychiatric situations, clinical assessment, and treatment placement for adolescents and adults. He consults with the American Association of Addiction Psychiatry as a Recovery subject matter expert in helping to assist the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration’s grantee technical assistance requests.
