James Patterson has been helping patients and families for more than 30 years. He is an internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor and has also been trained and certified in the Love First method of intervention. He has a special gift for helping families in crisis.
James Patterson has served as executive director of Specialized Outpatient Services in Oklahoma City for more than 25 years. He is a trainer for the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and has been a leader in his state for decades.
Currently, James serves as Chairman of the Governance Committee of the ODAPCA (Oklahoma Drug and Alcohol Professional Counselors Association) and sits on the committee with the Oklahoma Peer Nursing Program to help engage, assist and monitor nurses who are board ordered or voluntarily apply to the program due to their addiction issues and wish to return to safe practice. He also served 11 years on the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors and 7 years on the (MAC) Medical Advisory Committee for the Oklahoma Health Care Authority.
James brings a personal passion to his work, helping families and patients of every description. His mission is healing, and he brings calm and insightful wisdom to his work.
