Kathryn Row, MA, LPC, CAADC
Kathy is a Clinical Interventionist and a Structured Family Recovery® Counselor in Ann Arbor/Detroit, MI. She has been helping families in the field of mental health and addiction for more than 20 years. Kathy worked at Pathway Family Center, a long term adolescent treatment center, where she held the position of Vice President of Clinical Operations. She also served as an Adjunct Instructor in Addiction Studies at the University of Detroit Mercy.
Before joining Love First, Kathy practiced independently in Plymouth Michigan where she worked with individuals, families and couples. She has observed over and over again the wonders of the therapeutic relationship and lasting positive results. She continues to enjoy working with families through the intervention process and also in Structured Family Recovery because she sees the amazing difference when each family member works his/her own recovery program while coming together in the spirit of love, courage and healing as a family.
Kathy is a licensed professional counselor and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Psychology at Central Michigan University and her Master’s in Guidance and Counseling form Eastern Michigan University. She is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), as well as a Love First Certified Clinical Interventionist.
Kathy is grateful for her own Al-Anon recovery program as she found support and hope as she began to truly understand the difference between what she can and cannot change, and that by working the 12 steps, she has found a new direction to offer her own family.
Kathy lives in Canton with her husband, daughter and array of animals. She volunteers at Waggin’ Tails Dog Rescue where they foster and find homes for homeless dogs and educate the public about puppy mills.
