You can be a Recovery Advocate

So simple. So meaningful.

We need lots and lots of Recovery Advocates. It’s so simple, any of us can do it.

Think about it for a minute.

Families facing a loved one’s addiction are getting little if any help. Mostly they get misinformation.

Addiction is taking a toll on our towns and citizenry in ways not always noticeable. In time, however, unchecked addiction changes the very fabric of our communities.

But there is something we can all do, and it’s really easy.

You do not need to do anything other than keep a list of First Step Resources in your purse or wallet. These provide excellent, no-cost starting points for any family.

When someone confides in you about a family member or friend’s addiction, pull it out and hand it to them.

Nothing has ever been easier or more powerful. We can change how a family, a community, a country responds to addiction – one Recovery Advocate at a time.

Three Simple Steps

  1. Click & print the First Step Resource Sheet (below). Cut one off.
  2. Tuck it in your wallet or purse.
  3. If someone confides in you about an addicted loved one, take out the sheet and hand it to them.

That’s it!
