Structured intervention process
Jeff and Debra Jay have assembled a great team of professional interventionists who are ready to work with your family or business to provide intervention services for alcoholism, drug addiction, and other disorders. We will work with you to plan every aspect of your intervention, we will lead the intervention, and we will escort your loved one to treatment.
If you need to begin working with a professional right away, call 888-220-4400.
Our interventionists not only have years of professional experience and advanced degrees, they also have their own personal recovery stories. Our team has been carefully selected and personally trained by Jeff and Debra Jay, using the Love First method, as laid out in Hazelden's guidebook on intervention.
Here is an overview of some of the pages in this section of our site:
Structured family intervention is the most widely used service we provide. We are also able to utilize different intervention models and customize the service to fit the needs of your family.
Adolescent interventions require a different set of skills, and we have special expertise among our team members for dealing with young people and adolescents.
Interventions for executives and impaired professionals are another area of expertise in our practice. We can facilitate workplace or family interventions for impaired professionals in the medical and legal fields as well as therapists, aviation professionals and executives.
Debra Jay is the co-author of Aging and Addiction and she is a nationally recognized expert on older adult issues. Many of our interventionists have special expertise older adult intervention.
Jeff Jay is co-author of At Wit's End, Hazelden's new book on co-occurring psychiatric disorders and addiction. Several of our interventionists also have expertise in this area.
In addition to alcoholism and drug addiction, we provide intervention services for gambling, eating disorders, mental health issues, and sexual addiction.
Our intervention services include selecting an appropriate treatment center, matching treatment options to family finances, making travel arrangements, facilitating the intervention, and escorting the patient to treatment. We can continue to work with your family while the patient is in treatment and advise you on what to do if the patient is having difficulties, including the development of a Relapse Plan.
We also offer initial consultations if you aren’t sure if intervention is right for you. We will help you determine what your specific situation requires–intervention or another option–and then help you formulate a plan of action. Consultations can take place either in person or by conference call and can include multiple family members, friends and colleagues.
We also offer ongoing case management services to oversee the quality and contin uity of care over multiple treatment providers and into recovery. These additional services are provided above and beyond our intervention service.
